Making a Podcast Episode

Hello my friends, and welcome back to my blog. I thought for today's blog, I might offer a peek behind the curtain as it were, and show how I make my podcast, taking you all step-by-step through every part of my process from the conception of the idea all the way through to the finished product. I decided to do this with my first commission episode, on the Skibidi Toilet series, in part because its a series I am approaching for the first time, and so I think it will serve best to illustrate every part of my process. So let's get started shall we? Step 1: The Idea All of my podcast episodes start with an idea of what content I wish to approach, and often with an idea on how I want to tackle it. For example I may wish to review a film or series, talk about why I love a franchise, discuss an industry shaping event, contrast parts of a franchise with each other, or analyse a classic from a modern perspective.  With the Skibidi Toilet series the idea I had going into the original Ap...

Content Update - Heading into Year Five

Hello my friends. I've recently gone past my fourth anniversary for the podcast, meaning I'm now onto my fifth year of creating content, and so as a result I thought it might be time to post another update, as its been a bit of time since I've uploaded anything new, which I am very sorry about.  So on that topic first of all and more than anything I want to apologise to everyone for the lack of content over the past year, especially when contrasted to the year before. There's been a few reasons for this, but things are a lot better now, and I hope to get a more consistent schedule in the near future. I especially want to apologise to Dan, one of the earliest supporters of my podcast and the gentleman who purchased my first commission. It has taken me an embarrassingly long time to actually produce this episode and all I can do is apologise. I just hope that you enjoy the final episode when it arrives in the near future. Once we are past the Easter Holidays here in the U...

Jan 2025 Content Update

Hello my friends. Happy New Year and welcome to my first blog of the year! This will be my first content update of the year, covering the things I expect to be releasing in the first month to six weeks of 2025. Just as before I'm going to be discussing every content stream I have, what I'm currently working on, and when I expect it to release. I'm doing this for a few reasons,  not least of all is to keep me focused, whil e also providing some accountability for all of you out there, my loyal fans. Although as I have said before I don't want to damage the potential of my work by rushing it, and would like it all to release when it is ready, and not before. So let's take a closer look at what you can expect. The Blog So now that the multi-part Power Rangers Watch Order is complete, as well as the ArrowVerse one, then the final Watch Order I'm currently working on is for the 23rd Century of Star Trek, which is an area where I think that release order is not the be...

2024 Content Update

Hello my friends, and welcome back to my blog.  One of the reasons I initially set this blog up, besides sharing things that maybe wouldn't work as podcast episodes, was to place updates for my content in a central place. As we are fast approaching the end of 2024, and I am becoming much more productive recently, I wanted to share a bit more about everything I'm working on here at Garhdo Towers, which could help give you an idea of when things might make their way to you, my lovely audience. I'm taking the view that there are six weeks left before we hit Christmas and New Year, and with a lot of current events being the way they are I want to focus on my work for the benefit of my own mental health. The bonus of that is it means I can work on a lot more content! However that said I don't want to promise when these new releases will be in those six weeks, simply because this has been a bit of an issue for me in the past, and rushing to make or missing deadlines just lead...
